Birthday Tarot

I have always been interested in having my tarot cards read. The mystery behind the deck and the beautiful illustrations have always captured my eye. Today, I searched my birthday history on the web and found this site where when I input my birthday, it tells me facts about the day I was born as well as tarot cards for my specific day. I feel as though these describe me perfectly :)

My personality card: The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that we are not always in control of our situation. Life is full of random chance events. These unpredictable events often represent turning points and opportunities. Your ability to adapt to these unexpected changes is what gives you your creativity and confidence. The symbolic meaning of the wheel is the perpetual motion of the world around you, and inside you. You are not stagnant, but an evolving entity. Embrace change, and have faith in your skills and your destiny.

My soul card: The Magician is filled with determination and focus. He is often a catalyst for change. He takes heed of others' advice, as well as his own intelligence and intuition, in choosing the right path. He does not hold back, but forges ahead with conviction. But you must be careful of the manipulator within the magician. Sometimes the manipulator can distort the magician's innate drive for healthy transformation, leading him in unwanted directions. When in doubt, be objective and focus your concentration on the right goals. Also note how the magician points above and below. He is reminding you that as you go through a transformation, do not forget the lessons you learned in the past while heading into the new.

My shadow/teacher card: The Sun is quite possibly the best card to hold in Tarot. It embodies optimism, achievement and hope. It is akin to having your day in the sun. Positive feelings abound. The child represents the feelings of innocence and wonder at the new beginning that occurs after a goal has been reached, or new knowledge has been attained. Holders of the sun card tend to be happy people that take pleasure in the little things in life. This vitality and enthusiasm attracts others.

You were born in the Year Of The Rooster. The rooster is a yin animal, and is part of the second trine. The second trine consists of the Ox, Snake, and Rooster. These three souls conquer life through endurance, application, and slow accumulation of energy. Although each sign is fixed and rigid in opinions and views, they are geniuses in the art of meticulous planning. They are hardworking, discreet, modest, industrious, charitable, loyal, punctual, philosophical, patient, and good-hearted individuals with high moral standards. They can also be self righteous, vain, critical, judgmental, myopic, narrow minded, and petty. They are also natural leaders, but are better natured than the first trine.

In addition to being influenced by your birth animal, you are also influenced by two of the five elements in Chinese astrology: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.

Your animal is associated with the fixed element metal. Metal attributes are considered to be firmness, rigidity, persistence, strength and determination. The metal person is controlling, ambitious, forceful and set in their ways as metal is very strong; and they are self-reliant and prefer to handle their problems alone. The metal person is also materialistic, business oriented and good at organization and stability. However the metal person can also appreciate luxury and enjoy the good things in life. Just as metal can conduct electricity, the Metal person has strong impulses and generative powers and can bring about changes and transformations for those who come into contact with them.
Your birth year element is water. Hence you are a Yin Water Rooster. Water is representative of intelligence and wisdom, flexibility, softness and pliancy; however, an over-abundance of the element is said to cause difficulty in choosing something and sticking to it. In the same way, Water can be fluid and weak, but can also wield great power when it floods and overwhelms the land. The negative emotion associated with water is fear/anxiety, while the positive emotion is calmness.
